WELCOME!

Hi everybody!
I am pleased to welcome you to my blog. It is a platform for sharing thoughts, information, worries, and useful stuff. we live in a world where boundaries have vanished thanks to technology, and so nobody has an excuse to simply hide and be disinterested.conflicts, wars, disputes, and prejudice unfortunately fill our world. It is up to us either to keep "strangling" life or to save it. this is a little space to foster co-operation, friendship, and understanding. You may just view the photos I post here and comment on them, or share your ideas and suggest topics to talk about.
Awaiting your posts!
All the best.
Lahcen,
South of Morocco.

Hi Lahcen,

Congratulations for your new blog! I also started mine yesterday and felt relieved to have finally started even though it looks very far from the educational blog I wish to build. As a secondary teacher I am sure you will be able to exploit this tool a lot. Have you visited Karim's? I really think it is amazing. Take care just a few miles heading north. Maite

I love teaching too and every day I'm thankful to be involved in a profession where I can strive to make the world a better place. Well done Lahcen,

A bright idea, like all your ideas that bring fresh air to ELT in Morocco. With your youth and spirit, I am sure the blogging experience will be far reaching in our country and beyond. As you said, creating a blog is a piece of cake but maintaining it and taking it beyond the boundaries of your classroom is a challenging task that you and your students will definitely shoulder with a devastating success. Your other projects that you shared with us during the summer training are witnesses of what I am stating here.
Good luck in all your endeavors.
Karim,
Tetuan.

Hi Lahcen,
I also like the look of your new blog very much! And I love the idea of a global citizen. Yes, the boundaries that separated us in the past are fading away, aided by all those fiber optic cables! Isn't it fun to communicate so easily with global citizens from everywhere?

Salaam, Lahcen!

Many blessings on this wise and heartfelt site.

I too believe we have reached a time when we must stop seeing each other as "strangers" and start see each other as "family".

The Indigenous people of the Americas (Native Americans) have always seen the earth as the Mother of us all. We are, they keep warning us, killing our Mother. Once she is dead, there will be no other Mother to take care of us.

When you look at what humanity is doing in those terms, it is chilling!

I truly believe that the more of us who speak out and bring awareness of all this, the better our world and lives will be.

As I have told many a student...no matter where you go, no matter what you do, no matter who you are with, Only the Love is real!

Blessings and Peace, fellow globalcitizen! Linda

Dear Lahcen,

Just loved the title of your blog and I'm sure you'll explore it in the sense of providing your students with the real meaning of being a global citizen. Blogging is one of the ways to show them the way.

I'm really glad to have you with us!

Congrats on your great start.

How do you plan to use this space with your students?

Beijos,

Carla

Lovely first post, Lahcen! Remeinded me of a quotation once read... can-t remember who had said it, though! "Who said you have the right to hide your greatness?"

Looking forward to more posts and more sharing!

Greetings, Lahcen!

Great site...I was impressed by the photos and also by how very similar they look to the Southwestern portion of the US. Our world has so many similarities, and yet so many of us only see difference. I hope your wonderful spirit and the photos you post will help others connect to what is so similar.

I would love to sit in the sun...it has been a long winter here in New England.

Keep up your wonderful writing.

Peace, Linda

Hi Linda! Hi An!
Hello everyone!
I am delighted to read your encouraging notes! I am glad you liked the pics, I also found them fantastic. It's amazing how blessed we are in this world and we sometimes fail to realise it! most people are dissatisfied, while each thing around them is unique and valuable.
Yes Linda, south Morocco looks like some parts of the American Southwest. I was in Santa Fe, NM last year and in Albequerqe and I saw places so similar. We also as persons are similar in spirit, but Geography and Politics divide us. This very place is a way to challenge this and build bridges.
Love and peace!
Lahcen.

Hi Lahcen:

More power to you. You clearly have the right idea for "us" to finally make some progress in the world. It can be depressing, however, when there are so many negative things happening right now; things that tend to pull people and peoples apart rather than bringing them together.

You're on the right track, and those of us who do believe the same as you, need to keep these thoughts and hopes alive.

Along the way, I loved your photos.

All the best,

Veronica

Nina, Berta, Hala, and Veronica,
Thank you all for the messages, I really appreciated reading them. It is true that sometimes we feel discouraged by what's happening around us, but I believe we, as teachers share the same dream for a more just and peaceful world. Dreams have proved to be realities many times.
I would like, at this time to invite my colleagues who visit my blog to discuss a topic that has now become a priority: boosting our leadership skills and acting as models for students. any contribution or viewpoint is welcome and highly appreciated.
Lahcen.
